I would like to hold a #pawty to benefit BFAS. I would do all the work, but have people go to your website to donate over a 24 hour period of time. I would hold contests, sponsored by several of our anipals moms and dads who have their own online businesses selling animal stuff. The animals do several contests in order to win these gifts.

I am completely serious about this, we do this in a Twitter format! It's a blast. This weekend May 2,3 we will have a #pawpawty to benefit a rescue shelter. It is a Mexican theme, costumes recommended. We all change our avitars and paint, or add via a website, articles of clothing and accessories for these pawtys.

If you would like more information, or would allow me to have one of these to benefit you, please contact me at believe.sulli@gmail.com.

    Paws for a Cause

We are hosting a Paws for a Cause on Sunday, August 2nd, Griffith Park Los Angeles California. Join Mojo, Sobe and myself as I guide you and your furry friends through an hour long gentle but hilarious DOGA class, followed by a pet parade through the old LA Zoo Stomping grounds. Local organizations have generously offered to possibly donate items for auction.

We hosted a Best Friends After-Work Happy Hour on Friday, July 24.  We live in Dallas, and most of our friends/co-workers don't, and we knew it would be a hassle for them to come back into the city on Saturday, so we decided to plan something that would make it convenient for them to stop by for a while on the way home on Friday.  I had light munchies set about, and adult beverages available.  When I emailed invitations, I included the Best Friends site, so that everyone was at least a little familiar with the organization and interested in learning more.  I played the slideshow before the DVD presentation, to further whet appetites, and during the "official" DVD showing, everyone paid rapt attention.  I'd barely turned it off at the end when people were digging into their pockets to give donations!  We weren't able to recruit members right away, unfortunately, but did get enough in donations to sponsor several animals, for which I am very grateful.  I also put together packets containing more information about BF plus some local no kill shelters, and treat baggies for everyone's dogs and cats.  I'm proud of how well it went, and want to do it again soon!

I just had a Best Friends Party and the idea I came up with is for everyone to bring a Photo(s) of their Pets with their name printed on the back, without anyone seeing whose picture belonged to whom.  I made a Tri-Fold Poster board and taped all the photos on board.  We had a contest to match the pet to the owner, with prizes given for the most correct answers.  It was great fun.  We then went around and told how each of the pets had become ours.  It was great fun and we all got to know each other by the end of the party.

    Sweet 16 for Tamale

When you are 112 in human years it's time to celebrate and we had a Sweet 16 for my labapoo, Tamale, as a benefit for the Best Friends Party with a Purpose program.  By the way, you read that correctly, 16 years ago "labradoodles" didn't exist and we always called him a labapoo.   The party was a summer get together in my yard - yummy appetizers, great bbq, delicious drinks, and bubbles & games to keep the younger (and older) crowd busy.  A special table was setup with all the info from Best Friends.  There was also a photo alblum set out that just included Tamale!!  We sang Happy Birthday to Tamale and then he had special yummy doggie cupcakes which he shared with his sister, Daisy.  For their furry friends who couldn't come, there was a cupcake party treat to take home.  In addition to the donations to Best Friends, Tamale also received a bone shaped pill box, Greenies (his favorite) and a framed picture of him running on the beach on Father's Day 2009.
